In early 2007 the management announced the new future-looking corporate policy the related strategy, together with the Zollner Group’s refined organisational structure. The necessary restructuring measures have since been completed and as a “divisional matrix organisation with staff functions” the group now stands on a sustainable basis.
Zollner is thus giving priority to the goal of planning and realising continued corporate growth. In the revision of the organisational structure the focus was placed on customer- and industry-oriented alignment.
The fundamental changes in the present organisational structure can be summarised as follows:
- The present profit centres [Germany and abroad] have been assigned according to the predominant technology and market orientation of the newly formed Automotive, Electronics and Mechanical divisions.
- The present supporting units have been integrated into the new central division.
- The present strategic units have been subdivided: some of them were integrated into the central division, but most employees have been taken over as specialists in the new Automotive, Electronics and Mechanical divisions.
In 2007 a new stage in life began for a total of 85 young people: they started their training at our company. At the outset the entrants had the opportunity to gain a first impression of the largest employer in the region during a tour of the company premises. The new protégés were proudly greeted by company founder Manfred Zollner together with Manfred Huber, Head of Training.
As a renowned training institution the Zollner Group employs over 260 trainees throughout Germany in the electronics, mechanical engineering, IT and commercial professions. In addition, technical, commercial and IT study courses are available to school leavers. In September 2007 the trainee ratio was approx. 7% and thus far above the average for German industry.
On 12 September 2007 the Zollner Group celebrated the inauguration of the new building at the Satu Mare facility. It was attended by representatives of the church, politics and industry, local authorities and public utilities, members of the management and staff.
Since its completion in July 2007 a total of 240 employees have been working on over 8,000 m² of floor space. Besides the production of inductive components, the range of products also includes the manufacture of printed circuit boards. In addition to the implementation of simple and complex printed circuit boards, the facility offers its customers equipment and system integration. The services available also include delivery with customised packaging.
